Shooting Instructor, Elite Competitor

Nathan began his competitive shooting career in 8th grade with SCTP, competing as a key member of the Ankeny Hawks Shooting Sports team, one of the largest and most successful programs in Iowa. Throughout his high school career, Nathan was on the top squad of his team and served for three years on the Hawk Squad leadership team, becoming the only athlete in program history to achieve leadership status across all clay target disciplines (Trap Singles, Doubles, Handicap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays).

Nathan was recruited to UT Southern, one of the top ACUI/SCTP teams in the country, where he trained under the Chair of USA Shooting and competed in multiple championship-winning squads. He wrapped up his collegiate career in 2025.

That same year, he was one of only 12 athletes nationwide selected for the USA Shooting/SCTP Junior Olympic Development Camp in Colorado Springs—out of over 1,200 applicants—based on his SCTP and USAS scores and coach recommendations.
