Founder, Lead Shooting Instructor

Larry began his clay target performance career as an assistant coach for the Ankeny Hawks in 2016. In 2018, Larry became the Ankeny Hawks Shooting Sports Head Coach and Lead Shooting Instructor. His Ankeny Hawks Shooting Sports team was one of the state's largest and most successful SCTP programs over the next 5 years, with numerous team and individual champions at the state and national levels. During his tenure, he expanded the AHSS program into Skeet and Sporting Clays, with some of the team's top athletes competing in International Trap and Skeet.

Larry's notable scholastic coaching accomplishments:

• 12+ Iowa SCTP All-State Team Members (Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays)
• 6+ Iowa SCTP State Champions (Trap Skeet)

With a proven track record in developing state, national, and international champions, Larry brings expertise, leadership, and a passion for athlete development to the BSA coaching team.

Shooting Instructor, Elite Competitor

Nathan began shooting competitively in 8th grade with SCTP. Throughout his entire Ankeny career, he was a top squad member and served on the student leadership team. He remains the only Hawk athlete to achieve Hawk Squad status across every clay target discipline. Nathan was recruited to join UT Southern, where he spent most of his collegiate career. In 2019, Nathan was selected to attend the USA/SCTP Junior Olympic Development Camp for Bunker, as one of only 12 athletes chosen from over 1,200 nationwide. For more than six years, he has actively competed in USA Shooting and international trap events, consistently finishing in the top 10 at state and national levels.
